Black Ant – Parachute

The Black Ant is one of the best flies for imitating land insects. Dead drifts and slight twitching motions are the name of the game for this fly and is especially effective when fishing mountain creeks. A bit of floatant will help this fly stay above the water all day long. For some, the completely black body can be difficult to see. If that’s the case, the Parachute Ant would suit you better. Both ant patterns are high effective for summer trout fishing.
