Vintage Audiophile KEF Concerto

Inside these Concerto speakers are 3 original drivers.  A long throw 13″ x 9″ aluminium skinned polystyrene bass unit, a 5″ Acoustiline mid range, and 3/4″ Melinex Tweeter.   The crossover has been replaced with a Falcon Acoustics upgrade, for a flatter and smoother HF/MF response. The speakers cabinets have also been upgraded with an attractive, acoustically transparent grill cloth, hand machined floor spikes to improve bass response/clarity and chunky binding posts, to prevent accidental disconnection. Weight: 23kg each Impedance: 8 ohms Recommended amplifier max 50 watt hifi amplifier (we can supply amps such as Arcam Alpha 7R or vintage Marantz or Leak Amplifiers) Volume: Please note these are hifi speakers.  They are not as robust as PA speakers and will not take abuse from careless DJ’s.  However they are still good for low dance floor volume/high background volume in rooms up to 5m square if positioned carefully.  For larger spaces or more demanding applications we recommend adding fill speakers or asking about our unique high power version. Audiophile cables:  We supply speakers with a transparent sheathed OFC copper 2.5mm (14AWG)  shotgun cable which is the best cable you can buy for short run speaker cables working at lower wattages.
