When I say razor sharp I absolutely mean it. This knife takes the hair off my arm so easily that it just glides over without any pulling or catching. I cut a lime with it and it was effortless. The blade has a hammered finish, which is partly for looks, but also functional; It works in the same way as serrations on knife blades to keep food from sticking after slicing. The handle is beautiful. It’s wood but so highly finished and polished that I wasn’t sure if the wood was real until I read the advertisement. Everything about this knife is finished perfectly. The blade is so polished that I can use it for a mirror. The handle is also super polished and smooth. There is a metal bolster on the end of the handle for added protection to the knife and a tapered metal guard between the handle and the blade. That makes for easy gripping and safer use. I wouldn’t hesitate to order this knife again. I make knives as a hobby and I can say for sure that there is a lot of workmanship in this one. One thing I nearly forgot to mention: there is a nice mosaic pin in the handle, and that adds a nice touch to an already nice knife. Use care and be safe if you buy one because it’s the sharpest knife I’ve ever received in a mail order, and I’ve ordered a lot of them.
