Why on earth the big box hardware stores don’t carry these, is beyond me. I would suspect they would be a special order item, but crazy expensive for basically the same thing.Adding a 2nd door to our storage shed, and needed a locking handle. I thought about getting a pair of them, with only one key to work on both.But figured I wouldn’t have both sides open all time. So, I found this one with pretty good reviews.It does the job. The lock is a smooth operator with the keys. Once the handle is put together, it feels loose — even after tightening it. Might reassemble with some thread locker later. The set screws seem to be really soft metal. Cranking on them to tighten them up feels like they will strip.The spindle seems shorter than what I ordered. I had difficulty getting it to clear the door frame. Extending it out just about as far as it could go did finally work with some frame modifications. But then it doesn’t feel all that sturdy.For the price, I’m fairly satisfied. We’ll keep an eye on it to determine its longevity.
