Pond Care Package

Description Our Pond Care Package consists of a combination of barley straw pellets, beneficial bacteria, and lake and pond dye. Research shows that barley straw helps to clarify water by releasing hydrogen peroxide as it decomposes, beneficial bacteria consumes nitrogen and phosphorus in the water column (the nutrients primarily responsible for weed and algae growth in ponds), and dye prevents sunlight from reaching the bottom of your pond which helps to slow growth. This package is preventative so it is be best to begin applying it in spring. Reapply every 4-8 weeks or as needed. Packages can be applied at anytime of the year but the beneficial bacteria is most effective above 50 degrees F.
