Description 2015 1 oz Chinese Silver Panda (Sealed) – Brilliant Uncirculated The original Chinese silver bullion rounds first released in 1983 were 90% silver and only 27 grams. Then, in 1989, BU versions began being minted in .999 silver and at the standard 1 troy ounce. 2016 marks the first year that the Panda silver coin standard weight went from 1 troy ounce (31.103g) to an even 30g in an attempt to align better with the Metric System.
