I loved the case I used for my last I-Pad. The manufacturer changed its specs for my new I pad, so I started looking elsewhere. Wasn’t happy with first case I tried. So gave this a go.LIKES:-Feels solid, love smooth outer texture.-Don’t think it is heavy compared to other keyboard cases, maybe a little lighter.-Keys are soft to touch.-LOVE that it has a protective keyboard spill cover. I have used them on all my laptops, but wasn’t ever able to find one for I pad keyboard until now. Not important for those who NEVER have liquids near that electronics. Not me, I feel better with the extra splash protection. This is my 3rd I pad and the first 2 I bought keyboard-cases that if any liquid got on keys, you had to buy a new one. Went through about 1/year.-Easy to open.- The on/off button is separate from the keyboard. My last keyboard had the power on/off as part of the keyboard in the top right corner and when I went to delete, I often turned off the I pad. This is better.-The I Pad protective case allows EASY finger to ON/Security button access. Last case I could barely put my finger on the button because the protective frame came out too far.STILL GETTING USED TO:-When opening the case, you need to move the keyboard to use it. Different, but not a deal breaker.-No BACK LIGHT on keyboard. Didn’t think I used it much on past keyboards, but notice that it isn’t there with dim light. I have to have adequate external lighting to see each key. More important on the less used keys at the top and sides.-In the top right keypad corner the “delete” button is just above “backspace” button. When you backspace it either moves the cursor back over an empty space, or deletes the character. The “Delete” button only works if you highlight on the pad something then the button will delete the highlighted area. Doesn’t make sense.PROTECTION CONCERNS:- I haven’t accidentally dropped this yet and don’t intentionally plan on it, but it will happen. So can’t comment on protection from fall.-As mentioned above, LOVE keyboard spill cover.-Concerned about Keyboard attachment to case. It has a magnet that is more than adequate when the keyboard is flat or at any routine typing angle. The magnet and the pressure from being closed is what keeps it from sliding out when held/carrying on its side. Worried it might slide out, if hand not under edge. Hasn’t moved in that direction, so maybe not a problem. I did test the ability to keep the keyboard attached to the case in the open, upside down position, keyboard fell easily out. Was expecting it so no damage. Not an issue unless you type upside down.RECOMMENDATION Yes taking into account above.
